HGE: Reaching beyond the ordinary through House Fellowships!
As humans, we undoubtedly thrive on relationships. However, our level of commitment to our relationships determines whether they turn out to be platonic or cordial. As Christians, strong relationships are fostered through fellowship with others in God’s presence (Acts 2: 41-47). In Heaven Glorious Embassy, our House Fellowship centers are our first line of support for promoting unity and love within the church. Since the House Fellowship is a smaller unit of the bigger church, it serves as a way of nurturing ties between church members living around the same location.
Beyond faces:
We do more than to put names to the faces of our fellowship members. By showing that we genuinely care for them and their welfare, we foster a sense of belonging and common value for growth as Christians. Since the fellowships are held in very relaxed and welcoming environments, old and new members are able to mingle and discuss freely about everyday life during and after the fellowship hours. We also take time to break bread after every meeting.
Beyond active listening: (Hebrews 5:11-12)
Given the day to day distractions we face, spiritual maturity is germane to our success as Christians. Our fellowship centers encourage members not to only listen to the shared word but to also take the lead in teaching the word from time to time. Contributions and questions are always encouraged during fellowship for better understanding of complex teachings. By doing so, members are built up in the word together.
Beyond individual faith: (Matthew 18:19-20)
Applying collective faith is an efficient way to overcome the wiles of the enemy. We make conscientious efforts at our house fellowship centers never to see challenges as merely the concern of an individual member but that of the entire fellowship. By creating an open atmosphere for sharing testimonies and praying together as a family, members faith are built up together, thus, standing a better chance of overcoming any life struggles.
Beyond immediate families:
We use our fellowship centers as avenues for encouraging members to act as their brother’s keepers – see themselves as extension of the body of Christ. We reach out to others who may need our help or assistance during turbulent times. We do so by organizing various gestures to reach out to our immediate communities as part of our fellowship community outreach programs. Some of the programs executed in the past include praying for and donating to the needy e.g. school supplies and visitation of refugee camps/homes in Dallas. We have also rendered our active support and donations to food Shelters within the Dallas Metroplex.
